So I got off work early and went to the shop and awaited for my baby to get back from getting aligned. It looks really good, besides the one new front headlight and the other that was not harmed, not to mention the sort of crappy buff job done :Bang .

Anyway, here is the pics the day of the accident:

Here is what it looks like now:

And here is what she looked like before I decided to plant its face into a silverado:

Sorry for all them pics, just figured people like pics. Anyway, I'm soooo happy she is back in the driveway and soon to be back in its rightful place, the garage.

Lookin good again, glad to see they did a nice job. Can you even tell it got in a wreck, as far as the paint or driving wise?

yeah you just wanted to get rifd of the screw holes in the front where the vanity plate used to be. :)

Looks great. Keep an eye on the tires to make sure they are not wearing unevenly

I can tell because its my car, there is the sort of bad buffing job but it looks pretty good. Just looks like I replaced the right headlight because its nice and new and the left was not replaced, same goes for the fog-lamps. It drives wierd to me right now because I drove a cavalier 4dr for two weeks or whatever but handles pretty good still (haven't really tested it yet), the gas pedal feels like pushing air, but again, the cavaliers was hard so that is why.

Other than that it looks very nice and I doubt any could tell it was in a wreck unless you know the LS very well. The color is factory, I love it because I'm like the only one around here w/ this color. I saw another one but it was worn.

Airbags luckily did not blow, I'm guessing when I hit the silverado I was only doing about 10 or alittle under. Could of been slower... Not sure at what speed they deploy.

I'm going to be grandpa for the next few days now, got to get used to it again. But its nice to be cruising in style and having people look at me like "Daddy has a nice car, kid" or "why do you get that and not me."

Explain the "bad buffing" to me. If it is just swirl marks, take some 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and use as directed. If it is something different, post something specific on it and we'll help you out.......unless of course you want someone else to fix it.

Congrats on getting your car back!! The body work they did on the LS looks great like nothing ever happened to it!!

Congrats

Sure is hard to see your baby hurt like that. Must be a big relief to see her back to pristine condition. Looks like they did a great job. Dont worry, the feeling of excitement will come back after you shake the Cavalier cobwebs. I switch between my Beemer, my customized van and the MarkVIII. Takes about 30 seconds to remember why the Mark is my favorite.

Looks good, and congrats on getting your car back, but.......

I'd take it back to the place that did the work and have them re-align that passenger side headlight (unless that's the pic being distorted) because the outside looks like it's tilting down and the hood is obviously sticking up from the light. Actually, it looks like the entire fender might even need a little raising on the front end.

Not trying to be a dick or anything, but I hate it when bodyshops do a half-arsed job.

The buffing is just swirl marks inwhich I plan to correct but I cannot wax or anything but just clean it for awhile they said.

My dad did the job so he knew the customer and how damn picky/ a-hole I am about any of my cars.

I think thats just because the pic is all missed up. I'm going to go check that out more in a few now lol. If it does look like what you decribed and all I well defiantly take it back to get it corrected.

Overrall I'm very satisfied w/ the job. When it came back from getting aligned all the managers and most of the workers including dad came out to see what I thought. It was weird having all them people making sure I was happy.

I had the same thing done to my town car and now you can't even tell it was in a wreck. My car hit a 2002 ford ranger. :Bang
