I just recently removed all the cats on my 05 LS v-8 w/130k due to a clogged cat. My gas millage has improved(410 miles freeway on a tank of gas...87 octane)as well as horse power gain....oh yea it turns heads every time I leave a light. My question is: is there a way to trick the o2 sensors so my cel goes off?

dude... 87? Is it the pinging engine that's turning heads?

and a tornado fuel saver... I bet you'd get 500 miles a tank at least :D

In all seriousness though, use 91 octane. put some cats back on. Just do a full exhaust - 2.5" pipe, no resonators, magnaflow mufflers. You'll get better sound.

First, you NEED to go with the Premium Unleaded. Its not that much more, and although I don't agree with the way others above have put that to you. Its a valid point, and you will notice a difference running the premium.

For the O2's, you can leave them plugged in and zip tie them away somewhere. You actually might notice a tinge of additional power by them reading ambient like I did with my SRT. Or for the proper way, take an ohm reading between ground and the sensor voltage output. ( it should read about 5 volts, and not the heated 12 volts) With that ohm reading go find yourself a matching resistor and gap it and remove o2 sensor. This will trick the ECU to thinking that there is an o2 without actually it being there.

Also, you still have to have the pre-cat ones still in place...

Now, did you have to drop your manifolds to get the cats out? I am curious to know how you did this? Pics, etc.. please. :)

First run premium.

Second, search for an "02 spoof" on eBay. You need two of them. Obviously you only use these if you do not have cats and they are used on the post-cat 02 sensors
