I had a Pioneer AVIC Z-2 navigation system installed but shop could not figure out where unit connected to LS wheel speed sensor. Does anyone have information on speed sensor and the connection of the wire coming from the AVIC Z-2 navigation unit. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The LS doesn't have a speed sensor, per se; it pulls speed data from the ABS sensors. Supposedly, there's a wire going to the PCM that can be tapped for use by a nav unit; if you'll spend some time searching, I'm sure you'll find it (it shows up here from time to time).

What does the factory Navi use as a speed sensor input?
I don't know for sure, but I would expect that it gets a speed signal from the PCM (which gets it from the ABS sensors). It could also get speed data from the GPS.

also its easier to get the VSS wire on newer LS's that came with factory navi, i install navi, alarms, etc. all mobile electronics, my source says on an 00 LS you have to tap it by the tranny or you can find it under the rear seats in a harness type thing going threw the floor, on 01 its in the PCM a white/red wire pin number 13, for an 02-04 and 2006 its showing white at the BCM under the hood and for 05 its a white/black wire DRIVERS KICK PANEL PIN#20 IN 20 PIN PLUG
