Christmas came early for me too, Tuesday at 6:45pm apparently. The Fed Ex guy is alot like Santa, in and out so fast I never saw him. Woke up in the morning and "surprize". Yesteday I installed my new Intake Tube. It too had some dings as I read in another thead, but they're not in a really noticeable spot. Also some nics that too that aren't visible either. The installation was not so straight forward, but nothing I couldn't easily overcome with a couple trips to the hardware store, and alittle creativeness. Looks dynamite, and sounds sweet. Under normal driving conditions, you don't here a thing, I was surprized. The more throttle, the more nose. When you really get on it, its very aggresive sounding, shakes the car even.

Nice, let us know if you feel a big power gain or gas mileage increase.

Looks great. I plan to install mine soon. I PM'd you too.

You almost have to expect some small dings in aluminum, it's so soft. If you barely bump the tube it will ding. You have to be very careful when installing.

the salt and pepper mod huh????LOL Looks good.....When Im cruzzin down the road I heard almost like a turbo whistling ....and if I give it some gas....IT GROWLS!! Looks good once again and good luck with it.....

Actually, as far as actually placing it into place, it was very easy so your not likely to damage it. As you can see it looks good, the flaws aren't a big deal.

i noticed the yellow line on your original air box, do you know what that indicates? I have the same yellow line on my air box, and have been wondering what is means. I also had the line in a few other places under the hood.

its part of a check system....did you buy used...this shows they checked it or that its OEM .....I had them all over the engine bay and under the car.....I bought mine used

I have a lot of that going on to. I thought it was marking paint from complete disassembly/reassembly due to a major collision.

sorry about highjacking the thread

i did buy my car used(i would never pay 39k for a car), and the car fax report stated that it did have a minor collision. Must be why my paint is so clean

Does this mean that my engine bay was completely pulled apart?
