Just an observation- it seems that with the last LSes being built this year, Lincoln is moving towards being a re-badged version of Ford, albeit more luxurious. Sure, the LS had the underpinnings of the Jaguar S-series, but at least it was much different inside and out.
While it is helping Ford sell well (Zephyr and Mark LT helped contribute to 8% increase), I'd really like to see Lincoln have more of its own character in the future, rather than simply be tarted up versions of Ford cars.
Heck, the Lexus RX330 is based on the chassis of the toyota highlander, yet they look nothing alike. The MKX (although nice) looks just like the Ford Edge, albeit with a different interior and slightly different grillwork. Even Cadillac's cars look nothing like their GM brothers (except for the Escalade).
I can't wait for Ford to ditch Mercury and give Lincoln its own life. Here's to hoping for that new RWD LS replacement!![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
