Okay so I know the topic has been beat to death but where is the best place to order some replacement lugs? Mine are screwed. I went to EVERY parts store and Lincoln dealer around my area and they all need to be ordered and are outrageously priced.
I have an 02 LSE, I recently bought a set of 06 chrome LS wheels and want to get them put on here within the next few weeks. I don't want the factory capped lugs obviously. The other alternative seems to be the Sebring lugs part # MB579290. I've searched the part # have come up with nothing as far as where to order a set. Would anyone recommend the Dorman lugs? I know they are a factory replacement but it seems like thats my last resort. There is a set on ebay for around $35 I believe. Id rather have the Tuner or Gorilla style but don't know which part # I would need for stock wheels. Also I don't know if there is a difference between the 02 and 06 lugs? I wouldn't think so. Advice anyone???

I bought the jacketed set off ebay and they work great. No problems. I understand you wanting non jacketed ones thou. Some nice gorilla lugs maybe.

I saw there was a tuner set on ebay, but they're conical. From what I understand I need the shank style with the washer since i'll still be using stock rims.

my lugs are only gonna cost me 34.91 if I wanna replace them...at least thats' what the Lincoln dealership quoted me....

I use conical style lugs on my stock 17's with no issues. They are Gorillas, but I don't remember the part numbers. It's posted here somewhere.

I could use some help in this area also. I need to replace my original factory lugs. I have 17" factory aluminum wheels. I'd prefer a one piece design if there is such a thing.

Here you go. Part # is MB579290 and you can get them at your local Chrysler shop for under $5 each. Order the ones for build dates after 4/1/97.

I talked the parts guy down to 3.74 each. I figure I got a fair deal.

I went to O'reilly's with this part# and got a box of ten. I haven't swapped them all out yet, only the three that I've destroyed. I also learned that if I put the wrench on the original lug nuts and then tap it on further with a hammer it prevents damage.

The Sebring lugs are definitely higher quality than the OEM LS lugs nuts. Incidentally the Sebring lugs are manufactured by Mitsubishi if anyone cares.

why not take 1 nut of your wheels and take that along with your rim to a tire store. They will hook you up with exactly what you need. Thats what I did. I got the gorilla lugs.

I did, I went to Discount Tire. They said they would have to order them and that they get them from NAPA. He said there price is around 5 bucks each but they would have to mark them up so I should just go to NAPA and get them myself it would be cheaper. I plan on having them swap my tires over to the 06 rims soon, but I don't want to spend 5 + bucks a lug so i'm trying to find a set myself to save some money.

O-Reilys carries the Dorman brand Part # 611-229 for $2.99 each. I think they are just a direct replacememnt of the OEM ones though(capped). They are cheaper on ebay. However the ones from O-Reilys do have a lifetime warranty. I'm looking into Gorilla part # 72137. PM sent to NateRW21, I know he was using them.

I put the part number MB579290 in the search function at O-Reillys and got nothing.

That is the OEM part number I believe, not the manufacturer or O-Reillys part number. When I went there the guy was able to search on it but he had to use a different search method. It looks like LLSE has the information to use. Dorman is the brand of the ones I got. When I get home I could look at the box to verify the part number, but I probably won't. It will be beer:30

I believe they are solid but I'm not 100% sure. I'll check tonight and let you know.

They are solid. Here's a comparison, new Chrysler Sebring style lug on the left destroyed LS on the right.

Another view.

And finally the box they came in. They are Dorman part number 611-117. I have no idea how they compare to the 611-229 that LLSE mentioned.

As you can see from the second picture the "shank" is longer on the new lugs. I hope that isn't an issue. So far I don't have a single wheel with all the new lugs on.

I'm going on a guys weekend to Indy tomorrow. Next weekend I might get some garage time to check it out.
