Just my 2c worth from renting cars for 30 years....
I loved my Mustangs ('67 & '70 Mach I), but Ford has a real problem with maintenance. Too bad the communication from the gas pedal to the drive train has always had a serious delay. However, any Ford I rented was so comfortable that I felt like I had been driving it for years. So..... I bought, brand new, an '89 Cadillac Brougham and am still driving it today. When my right foot says "GO", it does! Most limo drivers in NYC have Lincolns, but when they drive me home, and see my car, they always ask "How much to sell?". BTW, my Lincoln-Limo-Driving neighbor and I have a friendly rivalry, but he always gets us safely to the airport or home. *D* P.S. FORD fans... the best truck is still the F-Series!

Thanks, Benny

I'm not sure what you meant by your comment, but I sure did love my boyfriend's 1981(?) Mark IV! He even let me drive it into NYC! Too bad he sold his '76 Grand Prix (bought plain, spent years customizing). BTW, my favorite Big-Old-Gas-Guzzlers are the models with "wings" (tail fins). ? I see lots of old Caddys with fins, but did Lincoln ever have this? Thanks, *GRIN* :C

76 GP? I had a 77 and it was the coolest thing I ever owned!

Welcome! Good to see more people with L & C experience combined! ;)

Greetings! I can see where you're coming from,(Shhh... don't tell anyone, I'm a closet Olds fanatic myself.....) ;) Welcome and I hope you find this site as enjoyable as we all do.

Lincolns did have fins, but they were not as drastic as caddy...if you were anyone back in the day, you had fins
