MAF Code P0171 and 174

HI
Would starting the cr with the MAF disconnected and air box out of the car throw code P0171 and 174?
If so how to reset the PCM or light. I used a code reader to erase the code but it came back on within 60miles of driving
Car is a
2001 Lincoln LS V6 5 speed manual
Any help greatly appreciated

You need to fix the problem still causing the code. Once you do, it will go away on its own and not come back. You probably have some air leaks and failing coils.
