SInce I'm a youngin and I have only engine experience with cars, I have no idea where I should start at removing the exhaust from my LS(From the cats). I got a magnaflow exaust, but I havent started because on each side there a welded hangers. If someone wouldbe kind enough to give me a step by step tutorial on the stock cat back removal, it would be highly appreciated!

Is this a job you really want to tackle yourself? I'm really not sure what all is involved, but it may be better to take it to a local muffler shop and let a pro install it. He'll have the right tools and equipment to do the job right.

I got the installation instructions on my website here:

http://www.lskoncepts.com/Magnaflow Install Sheet.pdf

I had my local muffler shop install mine for $75. However, I have heard this is a very simple install. The only bad thing about it is that you'll be standing on your head while doing it. Just remember...USE JACK STANDS AND BE SAFE!!

Thanks you guys! I appreciated the tutorial Ken, and your suggestions. I may take mine to Midas, just because I am no professional when it comes to running gear and exhaust. Thanks again!!

I just did this in mine and it was a very easy install. The hardest parts i had were getting the rubber hangers on and off, and getting the old exhaust system to come off the pipes where it was clamped, i just got my bro to move the pipes at the back and pull, and i sprayed it with some wd40. Once its all out the new stuff is really easy to put in.

Personally I think you should take it to a shop. You might even want to get a welded installation.

Right on, I did mine by myself so getting it to scoot off was the hardest.
