So I've changed out the pressure plate, clutch, slave & master cylinder, and resurfaced the flywheel. Was driving around in the city on Saturday and the clutch pedal hit the floor and wouldn't come up. Got it towed to my house.

Popped the hood and noticed the brake reservoir was low so I knew there had to be a leak. Checked the bleeder it was tight, master wasn't pissing fluid, slave wasn't pissing fluid so I decided to bleed it. Took an oil can and some 1/4" hose and forced fluid through the bleeder so the air would come out the reservoir. Then I seen fluid coming down the other side of the bellhousing. I looked up and sure enough the hydraulic hose from the master to slave was leaking from the rubber portion right where it meets the hard line.

I was kind of pissed that the rubber line isn't wrapped in heat shield seeing as how it's right next to the exhaust manifold. I called Maxx and he told me it's discontinued and no hoses are available. I've found some from Jaguar but I guess they are vin specific and they don't look the same. Maxx recommended I repair the hydraulic hose or have a Hydraulic specialist repair it for me. I found these directions via google : http://www.ehow.com/how_7346315_repair-hydraulic-hose.html. I was hoping some hydraulic expert could chime in.

Some local parts stores (not big-brand) have folks that make custom hoses. Ask around.

Thanks! I just got off the phone with a hydraulic repair shop, probably be 20 bucks the guy said.

Lots of truck parts supply and farm implement dealers can also do hydraulic repair and fabrication. Even some Napa dealers do it, but for $20, I'd say you won't do better.

That is a really strange fitting on that hose, where it mates to the stub nipple from the slave cylinder. Hope they can re-fab that for you with the original fitting. And I agree that it is a strange design. When I put mine back together, I had a real problem locating it into position correctly. Ideally, a hose with stainless shielding would be the balls for that location being so close to the exhaust.
