i have a 97 mk8 and it shakes bad @ 40 and around 60....could it be the t/c. and will a marauder t/c fit the 97 mk8

a marauder torque converter will fit a mark VIII. what kind of shaking do you have? steering wheel vibration, or the car itself is vibrating? could be driveshaft, or you need to flush your tanny fuild, and replace it with Mercon V, to stay alive!

Change it, I got mine changed about not even 10k ago, and I have almost 164k on the clock.

Could also be bad sway bar end links, mine shook like crazy from 40-60 until I changed them.

Wow U Mentioned Oil..what Happends If Someone Puts A Lesser Number Oil,meaning 3..instead Of 5.
I Too Have A Bad Shake After My T/c Was Replaced..supposably Someone Said They Put Number 3 Oil When Lol I Yelped And Said No Only 5 Ur Supoosed To Put In Stupid..lol

So A Murader Can Fit? I Didnt Know That...

P.S...DOES YOUR SOUND LIKE UR T/C WHINES A BIT WHEN U SLOW DOWN LIKE SAY FROM A HIGH SPEED TO LET SAY TO ALMOST STOPPING....???

Your right about that Scott. I was having a bad shake in the 94, and tracked it down to those.

Mike

now im getting shakes @ 30 also....going to change fluid this week and check swar bar

p.s. The Mach 1 and Marauder TC are the best factory built TC you can buy. They are fully furnace braized, and have a better lock-up piston.

If you are suffering from the "rumble strip" feeling, best to have the TC, tranny, AND cooling heat exchanger all flushed. Try to get as much of the old fluid out.

then, replace the filter, clean the pan, flush the cooling lines, and replace all with Mercon V.

I highly recommend an aux tranny cooler as well.

could it possibly by the shift accumulator, mine felt like i was hitting those warning strips, and thats when i got that job done.
