Goddamnit! This stupid car is driving me to heroin!

Yesterday, I changed my oil. When I was done, my electrical system went fvcking insane- as did I. Here's thge list of everything wrong in this electrical drama cluster-fvck:

First problem: the windows and door locks wouldn't work. No biggie, a fuse, right? I found it to be a 30A fuse under the hood that controlled the accessory delay relay. I replaced it and everything was ok... but then...

This morning, the same problem- no windows/ locks. I replaced the fuse again with a larger one- and they work fine. But now:

1. The interior lights stay on at all times. Sometimes, they go off; but will turn back on and stay on. This is annoying, I pulled the front map lights out, but still have to deal with the rears. The dash switch will not turn them off, but won't turn them off. If I open the door or unlock the car with my remote, the lights on the exterior work, but the interior lights stay off. When I start the car, the interior lights go on, and stay on.

2. My climate control has been rendered officially retarded. No matter what button I push, the fan for the defrost is the only one that works- and blows 200 degree hot air. Goddamnit!

3. The speedo lights weren't working yesterday. But when I found the blown fuse, they work again; and now they wont turn off. The dash switch doesn't turn it off, nor does it dim the speedo lights. The other lights dim, though.

4. The radio stopped working, but after replacing the fuse the second time, it worked; but only the fronts and they sound like sh!t. I think the amp may be blown. The rears are non-functional and the drivers side makes this fvcking annoying static/ distortion sound when I open the door and start the car! ARRRGHHH!

5. As mentioned above- the annoying noise coming from the rear drivers speaker. What the hell?

6. The gas mileage is getting worse. I can't win with this goddamned car.

What the hell is the problem? Bad fuse? alternator? LCM? Electrial charger? Battery? This sh!t is driving me crazy and wearing my wallet and my patience thin. Has anyone experienced such problems? And all at once? I have enough sh!t going on in my life right now and don't need to fvck around with this stupid car any longer. Any suggestions, theories, or solutions are appreciated. I'm through d!cking around with this damn thing.

I'm getting rid of it. ASAP. :soapbox:

well try some wd40 in the door locks actuators and see if that works to make the light go out

Sounds like you have a ground problem man. You NEED to find the problem and get that larger fuse out of there, or you may have a bigger.....(And Hotter problem on the way.) Either that....or you have an electrical connector that is eff'd up. Hell you could have some bare/chafed wires causing the problem.

If I were closer, i'd help you out.

Mike

Much appreciated. Now I've gotta find this crap. Hopefully, the car bursts into flames, though. I'm through with this thing...

Man your car is awsome but with your problems I can see why you hate it.

Check the wiring harness behind the dash - where it runs across just about in the center - I've heard of a chafing problem where it rubs a metal flange or bracket.

Hopefully, the car bursts into flames

Be careful what you wish for. :joke

Thanks. But...

Now all of the dash lights are out again. Fvck this car.

Damn that suck man, my mom had problems with her F-150 sort of like that but not as bad as you I think, also its a lemon too. But ya she was fliping out we just got it and it just went down the drain and we got it from the ford delear and she went there and nearly shot everyone there it was crazy.

Anyways man hope you find the problem and its not to much. :Bang

it is the module that is in the glovebox.check for a short to or from it and or replace it.

for the fan blowing only hot air on deforst - mine did the same thing, and the vacuum line that crosses over the intake in the engine bay was disconnected. try checking that.
