Mark VIII Model on eBay

I think that's the third time he's listed that auction.

I would like to know where it came from though.

Hey look. It's a 2 door Continental with a thunderbird front end, a 2nd Gen rear with 1st Gen taillamps, the C pillar, hood and front doors off a Continental, AND it has the tallest wheel arches I have ever seen. Nice.;)

wow the dimensions are seriously off, especially the front of the hood, the slope of the hood, and the entire rear end.....I know my car doesn't have a crazy tent-like arch in it, anyone else?

it does look a lot like an 86 thunderbird from the side.

but gotta give the guy props for trying! i like to see at least someone is interested in making a model of our cars.

Look Like Ssshhhittt To Me...waste Of Money...!

FIRST OFF..LINES ARE OFF..FRONT BUMPER AND GRILL DOESNT EVEN LOOK LIKE THE MARK..AND THE REAR CENTER NEON...COME ON WHERE DO U SEE THE WHITE BACK UPS LIGHT..IT'S NOT ON THE CENTER NEON...IS THIS GUY FORREAL!

I agree it does lack and the first thing I though was it looked closer to my 88-T-bird from the front.

But then my thought was at least it a model of a Mark VIII.. I've been looking like crazy to find something.. but not like this one and not for $100...

Will keep you in mind if I come across one, or even a Matchbox.. ;)
I've got em for Javelins, so they must be out there...

Trust me Guys I have been researching this for years. The ONLY kits ever to be made were a Jo-Hann 1993 Mark VIII, a Factory Ford Promo model of a 93' and then the TKM kit which is the one posted in Ebay.

I have been building model cars for 32 years now and let me tell you something the resin kits are AMAZINGLY difficult but very well detailed, most only come with a body and interior so you have to fab up the chassis and all from scratch.

That kit is an accurate model in all ways even down to the wheels. It's just sitting high in the back suspension wise thats all. Yes the front is slightly off but it is all Gen 1 look closely.

Believe me when I tell you this guy is selling it cheap because he has WEEKS into this kit.

Heres my modeling board if anyone is into modeling.

and if the seats went back that far, you would need to be 6'10'' to drive the car!

geno, there is no WAY that is what a gen 1 looks like!!

Blows. One of the most inaccurate models I have ever seen. Not because it was made that way, but it certainly came out that way. It just looks like it was assembled by a 12 year old.
