mark viii rear end

94 mark viii
Just noticed that besides the rear end sliding around you can move the rear wheels back and forth a couple of inches. Any ideas? Axle shaft or just bearings?

You not driving it are you ?
If you are stop and don't .
You would be a hazzard to yourself and others.
Put the car on jack stands and get under it.
You should be able to see wtf with ease.

do you mean the wheels have turn like in rotation when in park? If so thats normal. What do you mean by rear sliding around?

Thanks guys, not driving it. It's up on jackstands and the wheels are all sloppy. When I noticed something was wrong was driving 65 and the front end went straight and the back slid back and forth in both directions. Quit driving it right away, now it's up on jacks.
