I may have mentioned before, I have a 93 Mark VIII which i brought back to life after being parked for a number of years due to $$ issues, after several weeks of parts and garage visits, gas tank to transmission to suspension, I had a front end alignment this past wednesday, friday my wife took me for my birthday to Orlando for a week, car drove great, 25.5 miles per gallon at 80mph, joking i said " Hmm i ought to check the salvage yards while there for a few parts" she said "whatever you want to do". MISTAKE for her, it turned into a 3 day adventure going for a few hours each day to LKQ salvage yard 0n E. Colonial dr. I found a 93 mark and a 94 mark INTACT, i was the first to pull parts off of it, then after 10PM at night, i would install the parts on mine back at the resort, what a patient and understanding wife!!!!
Hard part was keeping my old parts and packing the car, including the entire sunroof assembly, but it all fit and we safely got home, what a ride, I had almost forgot why i had bought the car in the first place.

Sounds like a fun trip! I would have "tried" to do the same thing, not sure of the results. LOL

And people say crack is addictive! Look what we do for our Mark VIII addiction!

Yeah, it was a fun trip, the same day we arrived in Orlando, after a 6.5 hour drive, we checked in at the resort, showered and went at around 11 am to have the windows tinted, i found it was cheaper there $99.00 the entire car versus $160 in Panama City Beach. After the guy said it would only take a couple hours to remove the old tint and install the new one, with no relatives there to count on picking us up, and a 20 mile taxi cab ride back to the resort would be $40 one way, we decided to hang out at a strip mall and wait, well that sucked!!! we didn't get the car back until 7:30 that night!! so YES I'm gonna keep my patient and understanding wife>
