My wife just had some body work done to her LS from hitting a dog and the bodyshop replaced the front bumper, AC condenser and radiator. After a week or so the Check Engine Soon light came on and we took it to autozone and they said it shows the Mass Air Sensor. We're gonna take it back to the bodyshop, but I was just wondering if by chance they left the sensor unhooked or something, hopefully it's not bad and just something simple. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

It's a real chance that they just left it unplugged however that would have triggered the check engine light immediately. Either way it's a very simple fix...the part is a bit expensive though.

I guess if it is and I replace it, I have heard to just install the part and unplug the battery for awhile and that should reset the code. Am I right, also what is the price of the part?

You might want to try and reset the code before you install a new one, it never hurts.
Here is a link from Team Ford's website for a 2000-2002 mas airflow sensor. I don't know what year yours is. It's about $114 after core charge. Click on the banner on the right for the home page.

Thanks, guess we're looking at some down time if I need to send the old one in as a core, and wait on the new one.

did you look to see if its unplugged or the connector maybe wasnt fully seated and it popped off? Its very easy to find, about 2 inches away from the air box.

do you know the exact code number?

I'll check it tonight, she took the car and had the code read so I'll have to ask her what the exact code was. I'm hoping it's something simple, If it's not gas prices killing you these days, it's something else.
