Does anyone know if there is a throttle/rpm limiter on the GenII 3.9l? While bleeding the cooling system, I noticed my 2003 will not go over 2,500rpm in park or neutral. Runs fine in Drive/auto and 1-5/manual.

Please use the search feature... I know it's easy to be lazy... but please use it.

It's time to go to the board when after three tries nothing related to the problem comes up in the search results. After adding my post, it came up on top. Probably because I used relevant tags....I'm sure the vast majority of users have no clue about using tags.

I'd recommend going to google and using the following before your search: "site:lincolnvscadillac.com Lincoln ls"

You'll get better results.

Many moons ago the practice of revving an engine in neutral or with the clutch 'out' was known as 'Sonic Racing'. You didn't go fast but you might make impressive noises.
