So about half the buttons on my message center no longer work, including the oil change reset, which is really irritating because every time I start my car it's ..beep "oil change required." Is it possible to take the thing apart and clean it or something, or do I have to just try to find one that works?

have you tried a can of compressed air
i dont understand the old continentals
had the Oil change reset also
it was harder to figur out how to yous but was there but in 95 they stoped putting that in wondering why
um but in you mark
try yousing a compressed can of air first see if that dosnt free up flogges spaces

Half of my buttons don’t work either I took it apart several times and cleaned it with elec. contact cleaner, don’t expect too much of a difference.

Just take a small flat head and pry up the front of it, do it slow and don’t force any thing after you get the front up pull towards you a little bit and the back should pop up then UN plug and pull out. I think its just some locking tabs on the underside of the buttons. Just use a couple of small screw drivers and get it out clan it and pop it back in

If that don’t work you can pick one up on e-bay, don’t worry about color though just make sure it’s for a 93-96. The part you need is under the buttons.
