I am changing out my stereo and purchased a metra 70-5600 harness. I am confused as to the wire colors not matching factory pin sequence. On factory radio schematic the pins are labeled as follows: 8=battery 7 ground 6 ignition 5 illumination 4 (not used) 3 ground 2 (not used) 1 radio on. On my metro harness 8 is blue/stripe (amp turn on 7 blue (power ant) 6 black (ground) 5 orange (Illumination) 4 (not used) 3 red (ignition) 2 (not used) 1 yellow (batt/memory). Do I ignore the metra adapter colors and make sure the pins and corresponding source are maintained from factory amp harness to new radio harness?

pin sequence is 8765X3X1

ok the metra harness I used had 8 pins of which 2 had to be relocated to their proper sequence. I moved 7 to 2 and 5 to 4 and everything matches the factory harness. All the colors are matched now and I used blue wire (ant) for amp ground and used the other blue/white wire for the amp turn on. I will take a picture of the installation once I complete final debugging.
