mirror blinkers

The LED turn lights in the mirror should work regardless of headlights on or not. Check to see if they're on from outside the car.. It's hard to see them from the seated position (it's done that way on purpose) they are far brighter when viewed from the rear of the car than what you can tell from the seat. This is so the brightness of them doesn't distract you while you're driving
If you do need some, send me a PM, I can grab the set from the JY

When you say you'll grab a set, are they easily removable? Mine need to be replaced cause some of the led's are out.

There are plastic tabs built into the clear led/puddle lamp assembly. 1 on the bottom and 1 above the led strip iirc.

Soldering is easy...And cheap, can get a decent gun for about $20 at Lowes

Hey guys new to the site. Just picked up an '98 LSC yesterday and have been goin over all the little quirks and checking what works and what doesnt. This being one of the things that is not. Does anyone have any pics of the mirrors while in use? or possibly where the puddle lights are as well on them. Im not sure if mine were swapped out for older mirrors or if they simply are not working.

The puddle lights are on the bottom of the sideview mirrors and should turn on when you unlock the car via the remote or keyless entry pad. The leds blinkers are just below the sideview mirror glass in front. You might have to check from outside the car to see if they're working.

it turns out that the blinkers did work, but only when lights are on and they are barely visible from inside, even with window down.the puddle lamps come on when you touch the keypad on door, and hazards work allthe time.

slightly off topic, but if I wanted to solder new LED's in there (one of them is burnt on the passenger side), would it be illegal to use amber LED's instead of red? Also, would it be illegal to have them on all the time at night (dim, but bright when blinking)?

on all the time, i dont thinkit would be illegal, but amber is fine, or yellow, anything except white or blue that would look like headlights, no.
