I was running a 2000 ls v8 through a inspection and they reported a misfire on cylinder 7 at 2-3000 rpms, do any of you have an idea of what the problem is? is it abad coil or a bad injector? no check engine light either and ive already searched and couldnt find the answer i want...thanks

COP (coil on plug). A search would've surely told you this. There are 93,574 (plus or minus a few) threads about this on LVC. It is the most common problem to ever occur on a Lincoln LS

i already searched but couldnt find what i was looking for

A misfire is a bad COP 99.9% of the time. Replace your valve cover gaskets (they are probly leaking oil into your spark plug wells), replace your COP's and spark plugs and you will be fine for another 100,000 miles. Search Ebay for the Visteon coils for the LS, they have received good reviews here at LVC.

I had the same issue. Replaced plugs and coils and still can feel a bit misfiring but the codes are clear and the check engine is off. Think it could be a bad fuel filter? or the MAF?

woow, woow, woow... you searched for "misfire" and couldn't find anything on LCC!!?!?!
