I have alot of time and money invested in this car would like to try and recoupe some of it

after talking to the wife. I decided to list the car and see what happens.
I'm posting on Kijiji but would much rather it go to someone here that I know will take care of it.
now I dont really have to sell. so no low ballers. I know what I have into this car and I know what its worth to me.
if you think I'm asking too much thats fine. dont bitch to me about it I dont want to here it.
add is as follows

this is a very clean 94 Mark VIII
pearl white on black leather fully loaded,
power seats, mirrors, windows, trunk, locks, sunroof.
the best of luxury with the power and performance of V8 and rear wheel drive.
32V 4.6l auto trans w/ overdrive,
air bag suspension.

mod list as follows.

-Custom cold air intake
-Custom bent 2.5 " true duel exhaust w/ high flow cats, Xpipe, and flowmaster 40's
-Jmod shift kit.
-3:73 rear gear with rebuilt tracloc.
-MSD coil packs and wires,
-2 sets of plugs, platinum's and one set 2 deg. colder for nitrous
-Zex dry nitrous kit. control box monitors the fuel and nitrous flow for safer application. jetted for a 100 shot comes with other jets.
-SCT custom burnt flip chip, with 3 tunes, stock, 91 octane performance tune and nitrous tune burned for a 100 shot.
full stereo, kenwood deck, 4 way 6x9's, and 4 channel amp, rockford fosgates in the doors, pyramid 600w amp, and infinity perfect 12 sub in a custom box.

this car ran a best of 14.4 N/A. and a best of 13.7 on nitrous. needs a pair of drag radials as it spun threw first and second on the nitrous. easily capable of low 13's
I love this car but am buying my first home soon and need the extra cash,
lots of fun and well cared for.
very clean and solid

same color as my markVIII but I dont have the mods

yep.
8000 canadian.
may seem like alot but its nothing to see a clean well kept mark got for 5 or 6 grand around here.
add close to 2000 worth of sterio and 3000 in parts and labour. I think its well worth it.

I am having a hard time thinking that the stereo that you mentioned is 2 grand...I would gues for the 6x9's about 125/pr, the pyramid amp, about 150, the kenwood cd player, possibly 300 and the fosgate fronts, maybe another 150, infinity 12, 200, 4ch amp...didn't mention the make, but giving the rest of the equipment..I would venture to say it was less than 200 itself.

total is about 1125 Retail, and i was being generous. I have 6 grand in my Mark VIII and that included install, yet when I sold it, I included the install but took out my speakers, head unit, amps and sub..and still only asked 1500 for the car. That included custom dash pad, custom sub enclosure, custom false floor, custom rear speaker panels for the crossovers, kick panels for the crossovers, and over 1000 dollars worth of dynamat in the car. to see the installation, check this out: my 95 FOCAL Mark VIII

I guess what I am saying is that adding in the stereo with the car, at full purchase value is unfair to the buyer. With that kind of reasoning, you should charge 42,000 for the car cause that was the original full purchase price too.

Unless someone is paying in cash, and not financing, you won't sell that car.
Loan value on that car is less than 4 grand.

Good luck.

btw, I meant no offense, well wait, yes I did, mainly cause that is way expensive for the car. These cars, however as luxurious as they are, do not have a high resale rate. this is sad due to just how well made and fun these cars are. Lower your price by a couple of grand and you might get more hits.

frankly your oppinion dosnt mean crap to me.
as mentioned before I live in canada and stuff is unfortunatly more expensive over her. you couldnt touch any of the stuff for the prices you mentioned over here.
I'm not desperate to sell the car if it dosnt sell I dont care. if it does I'd like to get for it what "I" think its worth. because its my car and I can ask for it what ever I want.
so to all the people that keep commenting about the asking price can :q:q:q:q off. because I DONT CAR WHAT YOU THINK!
if your not interested then dont post. Simple as that!

as a new member here you should watch how you come off to other members. you dont need to reply to someone as negitive as you did above, this is a public forum and people are free to express any opinion they want, as well as you are free to say what you want, within a certain tone telling people on here to f- off because of their opinion is not very bright. take a pill, relax and if people's opinions bother you to the point where you have to be vulgar maybe you shouldn't come back on here.

maby my reaction was a little over board but every other forum I'm a part of the for sale section is for disscution of sale items only not a place for any one who wants to belittle or comment to do so.
if your not interested then you dont post or it will be deleated.
that seems to be a rule that should be considered here. because everyone seems to think that they have a right to tell you what your stuff is worth with out ever seeing it or knowing the area in which the stuff is for sale

On LvC members are allowed to state their opinions. If you are selling a car members will question the sale especially on a high priced Mark VIII... My opinion anything over $5000 is questionable unless it has substantial modification.

You have the right to defend your car but we can keep it civil.

Again it is your car and you can ask anything you want for it. Just don't get pissed if people question it. They'd be foolish not to, and help novice members to not just get suckered into a sale.

If it's as great as you say then you will get what you are look to get out of your car and be able to defend your car with out the pissy attitude which could turn off potential buyers.

i think that its a good thing that you can post you thoughts on the price someone is asking for because if it is over priced others should be told.

Just for fun I shot a bluebook value of it. I picked a 94 with 50,000 miles and "suggested retail value" assumes that the car is in perfect shape visually and mechanically. They also mention that less than 5% of cars fall in this category.

This is the dealer price
$5,240 USD. This value assumes the vehicle has received the cosmetic and/or mechanical reconditioning needed to qualify it as 'Excellent'. This is not a transaction value; it is representative of a dealer's asking price and the starting point for negotiation.

This is the private party
$4,265 USD Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold "As Is" and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle's actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.

I perfectly understand you, I paid 600 for my 93 and put well over a few grand in it. Regardless of how much money I've put into it (I haven't really added it up) I'm stuck with it because I wont get anything near what I think its worth. No ones asked you though

WHY SELL IT!

Good luck, but from what I've seen you'd have to have a super clean gen 2 to be asking 8,000 for it. Mespock, you said it a few weeks ago, maybe he's just asking so much so that when it doesn't sell her can have an excuse for the wife! "honey I just cant explain why it hasn't sold yet"

like this one, this looks nice http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Linc...m14QQhashZitem290237592753QQitemZ290237592753
