I had been chasing a P0171 and P0174. I could not find any leaky vacuum lines, the IAC works, so I replaced the MAF with a reman unit.

I did that on Friday, and have been trying to get all monitors ready so I can get it emission tested. I have driven the drive cycle a few times (I have driven more this weekend than I have the last 7 months). This is where I am at now, I took a fairly uneventful trip on the interstate and tried to keep it at a decent cruise speed of 65 to 75, and that got the o2 and heated 02 monitors ready.

With my XCal2 I check for pending codes, and only get P1000 and P0712 (wiring issue with TFT), before after clearing codes I would get P0171 and/or P0174 within the first couple of times driving it, and by the third get the CEL.

I have done 2 city drive cycles for the Catalyst (many more than 2) and still not ready
I have cruised at 45-65 for 10 minutes for EVAP
I have let the car idle for 2+ minutes for the Secondary Air System

Only remaining item I can see (well...smell) is I get slight smell of gas inside when I let it run down to less than 1/4 tank of gas. It has always done this, the rubber hose under the hood is pretty weathered, but seems fine. I was hoping to get it to pass emissions before I rip into that and the charcoal canister.

So...is there one of those remaining monitors that has to pass before moving on to the next one?

I had a bit of trouble getting the evap to go to clear on mine.

I was getting a CEL from the secondary air injection (found to be a disconnected solenoid) - but - It still took me 3 days to get the evap to go to green. Prior to getting the secondary air injection to go to complete, the evap would not complete.

try to Look-up enabling criteria for the monitors and check all related systems. If you get both banks lean codes like that check a common air source for both banks. maybe intake manifold gaskets? has it been colder or warmer in your area than usual? this may cause warpage and mess with the gaskets. Check the actual MAF readings to spec vs one MAF to another unless you are 100% sure it's working some new parts come out of the box bad...

I have a Ford minivan that took months to clear evap ready. If its to cold I heard they will never get ready.

Punch it in the face. Works on my DeLorean.

It has been in the mid to upper 80s, and I filled up the tank at the same time I started the "drive cycles". I think whatever was causing my p0171 and p0174 is still happening, and a couple more drive sessions and they will be pending, then the CEL will be back on.
