....aint got sh!t on waterless hand cleaner! :p

The kind without Pumice. I use it on my black plastic pieces.

Try it the next time you're cleaning your engine bay.

Here's a couple pictures of an alternator cover I did tonight....

This is before. It looks much better in the picture than it looked in person...

Here's the after. Looks just about brand new. The picture makes it look kinda greasy, but it really isn't. It's got a nice, new look to it, and isn't greasy at all.

Interesting, I wonder if it will dry the plastic out though. As soap does your hands.

I was thinking the same being that the waterless stuff has a lot of alcohol in it.

I use Mothers but you have to use it right. Clean the surface then dry it. Rub the Mothers in like a wax and let it haze then wipe it off. Always worked great for me.

I don't know...

One way to find out would be to ask Jamie. I sold him one of these months ago that I did the same thing to.

If I had to guess, I'd say no.

I always make sure to clean the piece real well and dry it beforehand. Then I just wipe the hand cleaner on and rub it in.

I guess I should also add that the stuff I use comes from the Navy stock system. It's made by a company called "DIF." I don't know if it's available to the general public. I don't see why it wouldn't be....

I use Black Magic tire shine on my whole engine compartment... It turns out great!
