Finally got the 275/40-17 Kumho's mounted on the 17X9 cobra style rims. (Kumho ECSTA SPT) WOW .... what a tire ! A little noisy on the highway, but the handling is fantastic. I suppose the wider tread and stiffer sidewall just picks up more road noise ???? Quiet as kitten on side roads under 60 mph and corners like a rat in a drain pipe.

Any of you guys running 275's have a suggestion for tire pressure ? I'm running 35 psi now.

Run what the manufacturer of the vehicle suggests usually. 35 sounds good, with a wider tire if you get too much psi your center will bald out quicker.

Just look at your tire wear after a 500-1000 miles or so. I like to run a couple extra lbs usually if I'm driving around town. When I go on a trip I take it back down to 35 psi since the tires get good and warm running over 1000 miles nearly nonstop, raises the psi a bit.

35 is a good number. If youre autoxing or anything of that nature youd want to bump it a bit, but nice writeup

I run 35psi in both the 95' and the 98. and rotate every 5000 miles.

plus LOVE the look.
