MP3 In stock LS Deck?

what about 2003-2006 SOUNDMARK and SOUNDMARK with THX systems?
I only have one burned disc in my changer (burned in regular mode) and the rest are store bought.I know some FoMoCo cars come mp3 ready (usually Mustang/Focus/Fusion,etc.) But they are generally for a younger market that's more computer savvy than your average Lincoln customer who is older.

There is difference in a song that has been downloaded and mp3's. If the CD will hold max around 20 songs then it is not an MP3 and it will play the music. If the CD has several hundred then it won't

None of the factory head units in the LS, be they base, Alpine, SoundMark, or THX/NAV, will play MP3s. You can burn those MP3s to an audio CD, which will play in any of the CD-equipped units, but then you're playing an audio CD, not the MP3s themselves.

You can buy adapters that will allow you to connect your portable MP3 player to your factory head unit. It's a cryin' shame, IMHO.
