Do you reset your fuel economy when you fill up? Fuel econ is an avg based on fuel consumption VS RPM and milage logged by the computer. For example, if you do not reset your fuel econemy for, let say, 3 to 4 tanks of gas, the data logged for mpg and miles to empty is not be affected as greatly when you get on it. If you fill up and reset your fuel econ then get on it you will see your mpg computed very low which also makes your miles to empty quictly go down. Now, for example, there is a cop on your A$$ and you cruise at the speed limit for a while --- you will see your mpg and miles to empty increase. This does not mean your getting better gas milage. It just means the computer has more off the throtle info to work with than when you were hot rodding around or passing a load of slow traffic (most are slow in comparison to the LS).
