I was wondering if anybody had these subs. I know they're good subs but I was wondering if they hit pretty hard??? Would getting 2 subs be too much bass???

Also, how do I know if I have the Alpine Audiophile system??? I have the 6 disc cd changer but what else is there??? I am working on my audio system now so I'm just trying to figure out what sizes are all my speakers. I want to change everything. Boston components in the front, the back door what size will fit? And the rear deck, what size? I'm going to buy the Alpine IVA-D310 next week. I have 2 headrest monitors just sitting in my room, I'm hoping 7" headrest monitors will fit in the headrest of an 02' LS. The only thing holding up me building my system is not knowing the sizes and all that. Sorry for the long thread. Thanks!

go on crutchfield.com ... they will tell u wut the sizes of the speakers are cause i dont remember them off the top of my head... i went with 2 10 inch kickers and they sound fine... im not a big bass guy so i went with the smaller 10s... i put 6 inch speakers in my doors and they all fit and replaced the 2 tweeters on either side of the center console and added 2 more tweeters abover the seat belts on the driver passenger sides... again i dont think the 7 inch headrests will fit in the 02s... you might have to get the 03+ headrests or order the Myron and Davis ones that come preinstalled in a set...

With those 9500's, if you have the proper amp, they are probably one of the hardest hitting subs out there. Having two of them in your LS would be rediculous. If you are interested in them, my friend has two brand new that he's trying to get rid of.

I have two memphis 15's in my LS so I don't think it is too much:D The speakers in the doors are 5x7.you can do a search on that to make sure, but that is what I was told.

I am running 2 12" Kicker CVR's in the trunk with 5x7 Polk Audio's in the doors front and rear. I think it sounds GREAT!

I think if you've got the Audiophile you'll have 6x9's in the rear deck and speakers in the sides of the center console.

I honestly can't imagine those subs have very good SQ. If all you want is SPL and don't really care if it's distorted or won't use them to listen to music then go for it, but there are much cleaner subs out there that will still hit pretty damn hard.

That being said, it doesn't matter what you buy if it's not in an appropriate box or powered correctly with a solid amp.

I heard that these subs hit harder and much cleaner than the Kicker L7 S12.

I just got done hooking up a SOLO X 12 in a custom box I built for my friends H3 and the SOLO X 12 hit pretty hard. At least it was hard enough to rattle his roof like crazy.

how can you tell if you have the audiophile system????? i have an 01LS8 sport with the 6cd in dash but dont know if i have it or not
