Was just wondering if mustang and mark Vlll rims were interchangeable? I can get a set of 03 cobra rims and thought that would look good on a mark. Any input or comments welcome.

bolt patterns are different, but there is a conversion that can be done. If you want info on this just pm me.

Technically, stock for stock a mustang rim cant fit on the mark VIII the bolt pattern is different. (mark VIII = 5 x 4.25" or 5 x 108mm , Mustang = 5 x 4.5 or 5 x 114.3mm) you can change the bolt pattern of the hub to a mustang but you have to change to rotars (or have them redrilled). You need to be aware of the offset and the width of the wheel as with the supension of the mark you may have some rubbing. It can be done but you have to be aware of these issues.

close..
you need 94+ mustang hubs w/ ABS for the front, 99+ cobra hubs for the rear. might as well change the rear bearings while your in there for good measure..

i hub swapped my car.. i love it. 245/45/17's on stock GT 17" wheels will clear all the way around on a gen2 w/o rubbing..275/40's rub a bit in the rear when lowered, but only on really hard bumps..so i am not worried..

Eff.. I thought it was the Front hubs that had to be Cobras with the built-in abs rings, and mustang rears.

Either way, got them, been there done that. I'm officially a member of the 5X4.5 Lincoln club.

New wheels are in the garage, too. Too bad I ain't got a motor in the lincoln yet... damn it.

sounds alot like what i just got done with... motor and wheels...
down a year and a half..

Maybe it's just me but 99 Mustang GT wheels on a Gen 2 seems like a downgrade from the stock chrome directionals...

my directionals were silver.. and i didnt like them..
i couldnt argue with a set of free stangs wheels either. i want to throw bullits on there sooner than later

actually i have a set of chrome 18x9 03 cobra rims on my mark and i love them. I did the hub swap grifters right about the 94 and up front hub, but the rear have to be 99 and lower cobra's cuase the newer cobra's have 31 spline instead of 28 spline axles

99 and up on the rear hubs. 100% right, no other answer.
98 and older were solid axles and not usefull to us.
it doesnt matter what spline the axles are at the differential, they all have the same spline count on the hub.

I wound up buying a set of 17x9" Bullets in Triple Chrome of EBAY. Bolted right up to the front with a bit of interference with the spindle. Have to mount the rest of them up and then my car will look real good with them :D

i think i am into my swap for around $500 for everything counting the GT PBR caliper swap, minus rims/tires.. but all my parts are new parts, if you can do some good scavenging, you could come in cheaper
