I just bought a 2002 Lincoln LSE. It is black with a V6. I think its a sport but not certain, help? I need to buy a ashtray cover and any help finding one is much appreciated. I love this car. It has 34K miles on it. It comes with the 6 in-dash cd, leather, nice rims, you name it. It doesnt have a moon roof but I aint a big fan of them.

What should I do to this car to make it look even better? thanks in advance.

Welcome and great to see a V6 LSE. People say Lincoln didn't make an LSE in a V6 and I told them they were crazy. As for looks think of these things for some cool mods:

- 04-06 LSE Grille (has the chrome water fall)
- McLaren Grille (painted to match if you like the mono-chromatic look)
- Lower it (will look good but will handle even better)
- Angel Eye headlights with clear corner lenses
- Smoked or blacked out side marker lenses
- Tinted Tail Lights (go to www.jonstintedtails.com for more info)
- Tinted Windows (gotta love the blacked out look on the LSE's)
- Look at some performance items like the KKM induction kit and a cat-back exhaust system like the Magnaflow
- Interior dress up such as wood dash kits or other color of your choice.

The mods are endless. Do a little searching on the site here and you'll see numerous things that you'll want to end up doing to your LSE. Don't forget to use the Search button too!

thanks for all of the options.

the windows are tinted but not as dark as I wish they were. I will take some more pictures later today to show the tint

Yep they did the V-6, the sport plus package (LSE) was a option either way. I thought that was odd when I read it and this is the 1st I've seen. Is it a manual? Mines a 8

mid-May or so. At least that is what they are telling me.

That's very nice man. First time I am hearing or seeing a V6 LSE. I never knew that Lincoln made it in V6 too...

its a automatic

Questions whats the difference between the LS and the LSE

and how can you tell if yours is a sport?

The LSE was an option package on the LS. What I'd seen said they were all V8s, but I don't know. If it's an LSE, it has the Sport suspension. The obvious differences are quad tips on the exhaust (2002), and round fog lights instead of semi-D-shaped on the other LS models. They also have body-colored rocker panels (non-LSEs are black at the bottom), and they have body-colored grille and license plate surrounds (those are chrome on other LSes).

The driveline is the same as other LSes of the same generation. The Sport suspension is a bit stiffer than the non-Sport (the Sport suspension was available on non-LSE LSes, too).

For 2006 (the last year of the LS), all LSes have at least most of the LSE exterior package (round fogs, body-colored rocker panels), but all are V8s (no V6es period for 2006).

The LSE is a sport , the vin comes up "sport plus", thats right from the dealer parts counter guys mouth. The LSE front bumper cover, side skirts, rear skirt(including the dual tips) are different from regular models and color matched. The grill top is color matched, bottom of grill is painted anthracite color. Rear licence plate surround is color matched. They typically come with the anthracite colored wheel with polished lip, many have the chrome wheels thou. 2002 is the first year.

thanks all!! You guys are very helpful. I should post more pics soon.

thanks
