my home town made national television.. haha

Thats funny, My home town was in the movie, ''War Of The Worlds'' with Tom Cruise...The church that was detroyed in the begining of the movie is one block from my mothers house in the Ironbound section of Newark N.J.
 
the whole report isnt serious... its just funny to see places like the custard shack on tv..
 
my home town was in two movies, an older movie with bill pulman, nicole kidman and alec baldwin called Malice, and the other movie was In Dreams with ashley judd and robert downey jr. when malice was being filmed my wife and her mom got to meet and shake hands with tom cruise and nicole kidman. and in the movie In Dreams, my buddies mother was dispatch for our police dept and she is in the movie in a scene as a police officer walking through the hall past the two actors who are being filmed. pretty cool to have a small town like mine in 2 big movies.
 
weird how they chose small towns.. do they throw darts at a map or something???

my mark viii was parked 2 streets ( approx. 500 ft.) behind the cleaners in the video.. too bad i didnt pull out onto the pike during filming !!!
 
My home town gets front page of the sports world for one day a year, then fades into obscurity as usual for the next 364 days.
 
no im not a piney !!!... pineys are scary people... you stroll onto their property by accident and wind up getting shot at...
