ok here it goes. i have a 1991 towncar. its great. i have the stock radio and stock speakers. i also have the stock amp. with 2 wires running to the right speaker and 2 wires running to the left speaker . from those 2 wires theres also 2 more wires jsust coming out.. well i cut those wires and now theres no sound coming out of the speakers. theres power to the stero but no sound please help thanx..

:W to :V :Beer If you want to keep the stock set - up connect those wires again and you should have sound again. If you put a after market Cd player in your car you will have to by pass the factory amp with a by pass cable, any good stereo shop should have that cable. I put a Kenwood cd player in my 91 Town Car and i had to by pass the factory amp to hear any sound.

ok i tried that and it didnt work. so u know what does extra cables are for? like what is their purpose cause they are a lilttle bit thicker than the other cables. i took a picture of it so u can see.. thanks alot for your help. The peach and blue wires are the ones for the speaker, and the red and purple ones are the ones that i cut and i put the together and they didnt work. :L
