my ls hates it subs

Well Ive got an 04 ls6, I put 2 12s w/ a 800 w amp in the trunk along with a compasitor and it seems that the car is loosing tooo much jucie. Ive checked all connections and all are well. What do you think it could be........By the way I cant turn the amp over half-way up with out the car jolting and the check engine light coming on....

Go get your alternator checked. May not be putting out enough amps.
