yo so i just got my 1995 lincoln continental back from the paint shop. i painted it back to black teh original color, the previous owner painted it yellow:eek: so anyways i need some good ideas from ppl that know what theyre talking about not sum guy that just bought a lincoln yest.
i currently own a 98 towncar and a 84 town car. both are stock and clean outside of a deck and sum rims.

for my continental i decided to go a lil further then before. im gettin remote start and a alarm on tuesday and a panasonic flip out 7" the tues after that ( lol my days off are tues and wedn.)

so finally after al this, lol what is a good exhaust for my car, i read somewhere here saying its better to get mufflers then have a local shop put them on. i just wanna know i dont want it too expensive, but im not a tightwad either, lol, i wanna keep it street legal, pass emisions, what size piping(im thinkin 2.5), any good places to buy? etc.

and also anything else that can be done to my continental as far as performance goes.

thanks ppl

As far as mufflers, it personal preference. Check around utube for clips. I prefer flowmasters, other people on here like magnablows. Depends on what tone your going for. I don't think swaping out mufflers will effect your emission test at all. If the 95 exhaust goes 2 pipes into one with the third cat on it, you will be stuck with single exhaust to the back unless you get a high flow x-over cat. As far as performance mods, I'm not sure for a 95. would need to see the set up under the hood. Also pics of the exhaust would help us give you some ideas also.

Contact Geno at lincolnmotorsport.com hes got a nice set up and can hook you up hes also one of the mods in the forums usually in the mark 8

aight

ground zero- u mean like pics of my stock exhaust. i mean thats what it is. 1995 continental stock dual exhaust. im not to caring about tone verses i just want that growl anyways. as long as it dont sound like a bee's in a folgers coffee can lol. but ill check out the mods, im still new here, but im luvn the ppl and support so far.

napolean_ i been to utube i seen one white continental withexhaust, sounded nice.

i seen online u can buy a k and n air filter, do those work, is it worth money. will it change the sound louder like it does to hondas.

thanks ppl.

I have a Silver 97 with the K & N air filter and I can't really say that I noticed a difference in sound. I'm going to take my air silencer off this week I heard that it's a free way of making the car louder at idle and supposedly a bit better mileage. I'll keep you posted and let you know how it turned out.
