Hi guys!

I am going to get (another) of LC 2001 :)

I am not a collector, I will be quite happy with those two:),

I present some of the pics...My question is: how many miles will an average LC 2001 get? This one has already 150k

Nice! I see this one has the optional bench and column shifter, I'm not sure but I would imagine that's rare.

well I am not an expert, but my first (burgundy one), has the same bench...so, what do you think, how many miles that sweet engine can go for?

I don't really know these engines but I would say probably 200k maybe more depending on how you maintain it, like I said I know a bit about these LC's, but I'm no expert. Maybe rare wasn't the right word, but these came standard with center console and floor shifters and it was an option I believe to get a 6 passenger bench version and more were sold with consul and floor shifter, or at Least I think

I don't know about that...but I heared that 400k miles was nothing unheared off as far as InTech V8 LC motor is concerned...

Maybe, like I said I don't know these engines. I've only seen these with under 250k but from what I hear they are hard to work on so maybe people just don't like putting in the effort or maintenance. Hopefully someone with more knowledge then me will help on that aspect! :D

Motor will go for a long time, it's the transmission and other little things you have to worry about. I had a 95 lincoln continental which had 226k still on the original trans and motor. Just keep the fluids changed. I had to let mine go because of power steering pump and didn't feel the need to fix it as the interior was falling apart. Made more sense to me to buy another car at that point.

As far as the motor goes, it is bulletproof. Just look at how the trans shifts.

the car i am going to buy, has all the fluids changed in time, the transmission is said to work perfectly

Very nice condition for the miles. This looks exactly like mine, including interior, I have the factory machined 10 spokes.

I am going to get him next Monday, so I will be posting soon:cool:

Thank You :)

I am very anxious to see the car! Monday is near:D

My continental also has the bench and column shifter, would much rather have the console shifter and bucket seats.
