Since these cars have the new key technology where all you have to do is keep the key within 30 feet of the car and it will run. Why don't these fools throw the key out the window and shut it down? Am I the only one who has figured this out?

Chicken, it will not let you put it in nuetral, and 1 bad, if the car is on the keys don't matter anymore, the cars are a death trap

They're Prius owners!

What do you expect...critical thought?!

dunno figured there has to be something you can do, besides crash into the frist thing you see, ive only looked in one and it was a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago. hell wheres the PCM just grab all those wires and rip it out that should make it stop

I dont think that would shut it down anyway. Thats just for starting purposes. If the car is running and in gear then the key being tossed out the window would just meen you now have to buy another expensive ass key.

clicky
Throwing the keys out the window would do nothing.

I don't know what you would do...if it won't shut off....it won't go in neutral....and it overpowers the brake, I also heard on some models if you pump your brake it disables the brakes.
You would be screwed.

Pitch the bit@h sidways??

Reminds me of that crappy film... Runaway Car or whatever it was called. (where everything the woman tried didn't work)

ok fukk it then. lay it on the side, then the roof, then the other side, then back onto the wheels and repeat as many times necessary until stopped

Yeah, but with that woman's luck, the clutch cable would snap. (or the hydraulic line would blow, if equipped that way)
