I hope this is not old news BUT....

I think I have figured out what the "single or several mystery beeps" that do not display an error message or warning on the LS is. I have been able to recreate consistantly. The beep are a half tone of the low fuel warning beeps.

It occurs when travel at a speeds higher that 60 km/h and the turn signal light on for two long (about 62 blinks). The faster you go the less time or blinks before the the car will beep.

The beeps are a reminder or a "do not forget" that you have the turn light going and should turn it off.

I think most who have heard the beep(s) just happen to turn off the turn signal as its about to beep, thus the mystery.

I've had a couple mystery beeps but not from that, one was when I was slowing for stopped traffic and I heard the beep and than the message display came on but it was very fast and I did not see what it was saying, I don't even think I could see what it says even if I knew it was coming and I stared at it cause it was so quick.

That is the famous mystery beep that is due to a momentary loss of communication between the computer and transmission. From what I understand it exists in every V8 and some V6's. There is no fix for this and there is nothing to be concerned about.

this has been covered a few times. people think it's due to a brief communication breakdown with the dashboard. those of us that have seen the message (good luck) usually see "Check Transmission" for all of 1/10 second
