I have a 2006 Lincoln LS with a “full” or complete burl walnut console. However, no navigation. Does anyone know where I can get a burl walnut navigation panel for my LS? I am looking at putting a JVC unit into my LS based on joegr’s successful installation of his KW-NT700. Lincoln part number would be ok with me.

It didn't come from the factory that way. If the center area around the radio and climate controls has "burl walnut", then someone put wood looking decals over the factory silver trim.

I have purchase the 2006 LS and expect it to be delivered in about four days.
I am probably jumping the gun; however, still want to put a JVC unit into the console when it comes.
When I get the LS, I will inspect the console panel and let you know what it is made of.
Sure doesn't look like a plastic decal; however, we will see.

its a sticker, plain and simple...

the cheap ones are vinyl, the expensive ones have a real layer of wood, but its still a sticker that somebody has put on the car... its not from lincoln, if you look closely in that terrible picture, you can still see some of the silver showing...

Thanks,
That will probably make it a litter easier.
I can get a silver Lincoln LS 2006, Double DIN Stereo Dash Kit by Metra®.
Or I will look for an aftermarket burl wood panel.

There is NOT a pre-fabricated wood panel. EVERY bit of wood on the center console is an aftermarket piece. You could have a solid piece made I suppose.....

there are a couple of dash kit available, AFAIK metra is the only one that makes one in silver.

your best bet will be to get the silver dash kit, then maybe you can find a matching wood sticker made for a model with the OEM navigation radio, that would probably fit good enough.

Wood overlay kits (mixed in search results) Shop around I am sure there are other options, but this will give you an idea of how your new LS was trimmed in wood grain. (factory wood grain was limited to only a few spots)

Doubt you will find a "matching" one unless you can ID exactly what the original was and even then it may be hit and miss based on batch, but you might be able to replace it all with a new one... not for me but if the wood trim is your thing, then have at it :Beer

There was NEVER wood on the center console/stack from the factory. The ONLY real wood was on the 2nd Gens and only in certain places. Here is the stock, Gen 2 console and center stack......

Sorry 'bout the sideways pic.....

Yeah, I know and that is what I said...

By "original" I was talking about the trim that was added while referencing new to cover a new Double DIN panel. And nowhere did I say it was factory ;) Also notice that I said "your new LS" not "when the LS was new" I said "your" because in post 3 the OP said

And hey look at that, minus the deck and FACTORY wood grain, those pics look an awful lot like my car. :D
