Navigation POI

[2005 LS Ultimate]

Navigation POI: I realize that occasionally my Navigation System does not allow me to access the POI while in nav mode (POI icons do not appear on the map and the POI on-screen soft button is grayed out). Then without doing anything, the POI on-screen soft button reactivates (un-gray itself) and the POI can be shown on the map. Is there something I am doing wrong here, I read the manual and did not find a solution, plus I am new to this system as I just got this car.

It all depends on whether you're moving or not. Some functions are disabled when the car is moving.

That was my first intuition, but I realized that it worked while the car was moving or not moving and in park and at other times it did not work while moving or not. So that's what I was thinking it may just be me or the system in itself. Maybe time for a visit to the dealer, use up my warranty while it lasts. Sometimes I am fearful of the dealers, especially during warranty period.

Some functions, like previous destination, are available when moving while others, like entering a new address, are not.
