I've had my Navigator for a few years and love it. I currently have a problem with the a/c system and have had a tech look at it. After two attempts of recharging the system I've lost the charge within a day. They can't locate the source of the leak (they used a uv dye both times) .. I recently noticed some heavy breathing noise when the "max a/c" button was turned on. It turned out the noise is coming from a panel inside the car on the driver side by the wheel well.

Two questions: any ideas as to what may be causing the noise ? or is it simply a function of not having any charge left in the system?

I thought it was worth a shot posting considering the car guys are stumped.

Thanks in advance.

btw .. in case some are wondering .. i'm in southern california so the a/c is helpful even now .. :)

If you are losing the charge with in a day that is a BIG leak and should be very easy to find with UV dye. Try the dealership or a better mechanic.

good luck
