I have a 2005 navigator ultimate with the satin nickel finish around the cupholders on the rear console. My 1 year old son was putting his bottle in the cup holder and spilled some milk on the finish panel. I ran in the zippy mart and bought a moist towelette to get up the milk. I don't know what was on the towelette, but it took the finish of the panel. I package just said auto moist towelette. My question, is there any paint that would match it temporarily? My husband dosen't know about it yet and we are supposed to go on vaction Tuesday. The ford dealership said they would not cover it under warrenty and it would take 2 days to get the part. I have to have a temporary fix so my husband will not kill me!! Any suggestions?

As a husband who has owned a Navigator I think you should just tell him what happened. I would rather my wife tell me than be afraid to tell me. The console can be replaced and is a very easy fix. Although it might be a little pricey, just make sure to torque down the bolts good when you change it out. I'm sorry I don't know of any paint that coold help you out.

best fix

get the woodgrain kit that covers those parts.. it was lincoln's fault for painting plastic in the first place...what did they think it was a riced out honda?

Good idea Asharillc, I didn't even think of that. I pretty sure you can find the full kit on Ebay for around $200.00 or so.

and thats the exact reason i wont let the kids eat in the gator. if it luch time pullover and eat and drink. i would be pissed especially in a 05. he may handle it better, but you should tell him. caus eif he's like me i notice everything in all the vehicles we own.

Yeah I agree, tell the man about what happened. It will be ok!!! In the end!!! Don't like the kids in my 04' Navi (upgrading look to 05/06-front bumper, all chrome grill, cladding, chrome wheels, monotone look) for that same reason. I fret everytime they do have to ride in it. I let them have our 01' Suburban with the grey interior (soccor & road trip frendly). I don't mind if they trash that one but not the NAVI (guys & their toys, right).

By the way, do anyone out there know of a GOOD PRODUCT THAT WORKS to clean the leather interior (mainly the seats). I have the Oxford White w/ the light Parchman (think I spelled it wrong) interior. I'm finding it very hard to get the seats completely clean (very picky like that) for they get dirty so easy. Also is there anything to do about the dirty light colored seatbelts that are now getting brown. As much as I have tried, I can't seem to prevent them from getting dirty. Will I need to buy new ones from the dealer when it gets too much to bare???

Wassup Luebbe!!! I was able to get the chrome teeth out of that grill w/o breaking the tabs. Had to do it McGyver style. It looks awesome man!!! Sold my piece of trash digital camera and is getting another one so i'll post pics later. HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A GOOD, BARGAIN PRICED DIGITAL CAMERA ANYONE???

go over to griott's garage. i believe thats what its called they have soem very good stuff there. my bud has a T/A and GTO, and everytime we detail the rides his two and my gator or the mark, sometimes he townie. but the products he gets from them are tops. i'll ask him on the leather treatment he uses. and for the belts would it be easy to use something like the oxy stick, that you use for stains on clothes. that way your not packing a whole lot of products in your ride or dripping water on the leather. use the sticks and a moist rag and just dab at the stain areas. that would be my take on it.
