Hey Mark VIII Family,

Any help on who can provide this part and what is the best way to get the car leveled back to original specs?

I broke mine when tightening it a while back and just went to the dealer for the part. It was like $15 for a little bolt with a ball stud, but you need what you need.

I broke the bolt part of that stup when taking it off my car. Went to FORD parts department and was special order for next day. Came in no problem but the nut that go's with it is out of production according to them :shifty:

This happened on my 94 Mark when working on the suspension, and it broke off when trying to loosen it.

The car did not sit normal after that, so I had to use zip ties to lock it in place. At $15.00 per stud I find it almost offensive that Ford is doing that ****.. Next time I break one, off to the hardware store I go and when I find the right one Ill buy a LOT of them! I did manage to snag a pair from the wrecking yard off a Mark that just should not have been there - recent strut masters conversion in the rear with fresh eibach springs and fresh bags, ball joints etc.. on the front. ALL of it was gone when I came back 2 days later to get those, and the headlights/parking lights were gone as well; I had a feeling that would happen. The radiator neck broke off (like mine and many other marks), and I assume this guy overheated and damaged his mark (at only 106k), and the guy probably got overwhelmed after having to dump so much $$ to fix his suspension, and then that radiator broke.. I took as many good parts off it as I could, and it made my Mark a happy camper, the more and more I put on. I still have a pile of parts to install on my Mark, and will keep going until it looks like my Tbird did. Thunderchicken.jpg

Us southern guys have it easier. I still hit up salvage yard cars whenever I see them, soaking the stud nut with some sort of rust penetrant (insert your favorite brand here). Then I go peruse the yard for other goodies I need. On the way back through, I remove (carefully) the nuts/studs and they go home with me.
