Need a thingamajig

Greetings,

I recently purchased a 95' Mark VIII that needs a little TLC. One of the parts I'd like to replace I can only describe (from the owners manual) as the message center keyboard. If anyone has a 95' manual it's on page 107. The paragraph reads " ...features are controlled by the switches in the keyboard below the message center display..." The reset button is damgaed so the message center is pretty much useless. I've emailed a dozen salvage yards and they have no idea what I'm talking about. One guy said "never heard of that thingamajig." Numerous online searches have lead nowhere. I'd appreciate any feedback you can give me. Safe and happy new year to all.

Yep, Check e-bay and there is also somebody on this site parting out a 93... I think all gen-1 message ctr controls are the same... I recently saw 3 or 4 on ebay.

I think you need the message center switch assy. They were available in colors but are now out of production and I could only find one listing on our locator for the ebony colored one. The last published price was $100.50 in Feb 2002. The place that shows it to be in stock is green sales in ohio. Beware they are sharks and will charge whatever the traffic will take. The part number is F5LY-10D996-D. The number they stock is the F4LY earlier version. This is the key pad that says....E/M..CLOCK..RESET...RANGE.... etc.

It's the part my friend but I'm afraid the color is off. My interior is light gray, the unit I'd like to replace is light gray and so are the buttons. Obviously I'd like to match the exact part but if push comes to shove I may take what I can get. Several members recommend ebay as a source but I've seen nothing available there. Please stand by and let me noodle on this a bit. I want to try and visualize your part in my interior. Hell, it might even add some character.
