I am trying to get my 01 ready to put up for sale and I am currently in the process of swapping out my Pioneer DVD unit and putting the stock Alpine 6 disc back in. Well I guess I miss-placed the small screws that hold the Head unit to the bracket. I have looked at Home Depot, Lowes, AutoZone, with no luck. Anyone have these 6 screws? I need them sooner than later.

PM me or e-mail me at LMKing84@yahoo.com if you have some.

Thanks.

any bolt or screw of that thread size should fit... u cant find anything at those stores??? you have and ACE near you?

Its a bit hard to believe that lowes and homedepot don't have it. I've always found any size I've needed, metric or standard in many thread sizes. If u have no test screw to take in to the store, id buy a few similar in size and test fit in parking lot, then go off of that. Worst case senario you get a phillips or slotted instead of the stock hex head. No reason why they shouldn't work.

Who cares what screws you use if you're gonna sell it AND they're covered up by the plastic on the dash?

LOL if you go into Lowes asking if they had any 2001 Lincoln LS stereo support bolts?!?!? Yeah, id imagine they wouldn't have them either.....

If you have a steering wheel controller can I buy it off you? Thanks

Im not new guys come on. I took the unit and bracket with me to the store to make sure it fit. I must have tried a dozen at each store and nothing! I could care less if it is the same head on the screw I can't find the right thread type, length etc. I am going to try radio shack tomorrow.

LS_Monk. I am using it on my 06 sorry.

Well thats good to know. I would have never thought that those screws would be so rare. Now I know not to loose them!

If you can't find the correct screws, find a tap @ Lowes or Home Depot that is the relative size & tap out the holes for a screw size you can get. Cheap easy fix!

If you have a tractor supply co they have an awesome selection of screws I know oil should have those screws somewhere I think post a pic of where they go and I will look in my workshop. I think I kept all that together

The junk yard is next after radio shack, but typically the units are missing in the LSs I have found in the yard. Here is a pic of what I am looking for in case someone might have some sitting around.
