ive never used my dvd burner and i want to, i have a bunch of music video's from youtube i want to save and burn so i can watch them on tv instead of on this. does anyone know how to do this, i tried, and found software to install which tells you hot to, and after doing it all we tried one single video to make sure it was going to work and at 3% progress it failed. i need a simple fast free way, does anyone know how? thanks.

Hey jamie, the easiest method I have found is to first use this web site to convert the youtube videos :

http://www.zamzar.com/url/

Just copy the URL from the video info page or your web address bar, select the format you want the file converted into (I usually do .avi) and enter your email address.

Depending on your internet connection, it should upload and convert in just a few minutes.
Then, just wait for the email with the link to download the video. You should get it within 5-10 minutes.

Remember though, youtube videos are already pretty compressed, so the end product isn't going to be the best.

After you have your video files, you can just use whatever Burning software you have to make a DVD, VCD, etc.

Let me know if you need help, there are also a few other methods I found, but this is by far the easiest.

Good luck.

+1 and converting the files and saving them on the PC is the hardest part.

I would then just use something like Nero Burning Rom but what ever factory burning software you have should work.

thanks, ive started converting a few and recieved one back so far, after i get a dozen or so i'll try a dvd. i can use my Roxio DVD program, or Realplayer od my Audacity program. i'll try Roxio first since its the one i am familiar with the most.
