i am in need of a 93-96 headlight low beam refractor from inside the low beam. i am doing a set of lights for richduty455 but one of the headlights he sent me had so much water in it at one point that it completely rotted the refractor and there is nothing left to it. if i breath on it, it will crumble. does anyone have a broken housing, either side, that they can part with the refractor for rich. i need this asap these are a gift so i need one fast. thanks for any help.

this is what i need if you are unsure.

Jamie, PM me an offer for the old mans headlight housings. Don't say $30 cause it ain't happenin lol. I know him better than that. This would be an easy set for you to mess with.

terry i have a bunch already i just need this refractor for richduty455's headlight, one housing he sent me was very poor, and the refractor was completely rotted, the headlights are all chromed but i cant finish them until i find one!

Jaime, I THINK I have a set of trashed Halogen housings you can have.

I can let you know tomorrow.

Im going to pull some parts off of a totaled 94 tomorrow, if theres any useable headlight parts ill be sure to grab them for you Jamie.

you guys are the best!!!!!! I can't even find a headlight around here to sacrifice....its like all the marks in the junk yards vanished

thanks guys for sure let me know please its the only thing stopping me from getting these finished for rich and mail them back.

Jamie ive got 2 broken headlight i got from the mark 8 i just got parts off of, ill send you pics of them. The housings are broken and the lens is cracked on one but the passanger lens looks good.

if you could remove the refractor thats all i really need, its a little hard to remove them without bending it, but thats ok i can straighten it, i use needle nose pliers to get them out, you'll see where the 2 tabs slip into the bottom of the housing, you just bite onto the two little legs and pull outward, that would be awesome if you could get me one of them, i'll pay the shipping obviously.

Thanks JR you are a life saver, for me and Rich, I sent you a PM, I want to send you a few bucks for the troubles and shipping, I appreciate this bud!

JR you are a life saver!!!!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!!!! Jamie, I'll send you the bucks you sent JR, I really appreciate all of this!

Your welcome, i know how excited you are to get them back, im waiting on the post office to deliver my lights Jamie just did. Glad to help out another Mark 8 lover!!

Removal of refractor

How do I seal the lenses after I remove the metal piece? I am about to install an HID kit, and I don't believe I want the refractor, just as well, the new bulb appears too long to fit anyhow. Any advice would be appreciated.

Rich-is that the one I gave you, or the other one you had? I got that one out of a 94 that was pretty beat...

MKVIIRIP do not take the metal refractors out, leave them in, trust me. the hid bulb will fit perfectly fine even with the refractor inside the housing.
