Just parked her, the brakes flutter hard when I hit them - cna't get themto shut off - any ideas - !!!!!!

I'll assume that the ABS pump isn't running until you hit the brakes (and doesn't run while sitting still)

Sounds like a sensor to me. Did you get the car washed?....or run through allot of water lately? The reason I ask is, it "could be" that some moisture got inside the front ABS connectors. It maybe worth a try to disconnect the front sensors and use an electrical contact cleaner or even brake cleaner, and clean the inside of the connectors. Then blow dry them with compressed air (you can do it naturally, but wait for awhile for it to dry), then put a big blob of dielectric grease in the female connector. When you connect the male and female connectors, the excess will ooze out and seal the connectors from any future moisture problems. I had a quite a few of these on Mark VIII's prior to '99(when I gave up turning wrenches), but I had ALLOT of these on Town Cars. I think it maybe worth a shot.

Of course you can throw this out the window if the sensor(s) have been damaged, due to a gorrilla working on the brakes or something. ;)

Wow, sounds like you got some skillz there! Thanks for feedback, greatly appreciated. Things aren't looking too good for her, the insurance co has put her down. I had a small fender bender, but the cosmetic damamge is too expensive to repair, sounds like Midas didn't do too great with the breaks either. I've had to fight them each time I went in for check up and pad replacement. They kept putting cheap rotors on her, then generic pads, no performance from either!

I've had her since birth, I am actually pretty upset, as shameful as that is to admit. They are picking her up tomorrow, I've still got to clean her out.....

I'm looking for a car - not sure if I should tackle another Mark, she was really taxing me in the wallet. If you got any good reliable cars in the garage - drop me a line. Heck even good suggestions on what used cars hold up the best!

I am totally lost - Thanks again for your advice.
