Hi everyone,
I'm new here and was hoping you could give me some info. I'm thinking of buying an 81 Eldorado but its not exactly in mint condition. Its got 175,000 miles, a few rips in the front seats, needs some break work done, climate control needs some work and its has some rust areas starting. The guy wants $1200.00 but will take $1000.00 for it. He needs the money cause he just had a baby. He doesn't know much about the car and I don't either. I was gonna have someone go with me to look it over better and tell me if there are more problems. I was wondering if its even worth it or not? I don't really want to buy it and find out its a rolling money pit. I don't mind having to do small/minor things. Both of my cars had issues when I first got them. I have a 92 Mercury Cougar ls and an 89 Buick Century limited and they are both for sale currently.
Are these good cars? Is this something worht checking out or is it a lost cause? I'd like to find an older Cadillac or a Lincoln but don't want a P.O.S. Any info would be great.
Thanks
