Were can I get a good automatic transmission for my 1998 mark viii. It makes about 450hp with nitrous. Stock one not holding up. Thanks for your help

Has this stock trans had a J-Mod done on it? If so, was it drilled out to spec for this 450 HP you have?

Hey halo, are you still running on my rebuild? Or did you get it rebuilt again?
 
Dan, yes I am still running on your rebuild. I dropped the trans to change the converter and valve body to try and straighten out the partial throttle shift issue. I put a modified 98 valve body from Baumman replaced all the electronics and installed the 3500 stall. The guts where still perfect no need to touch the clutches ect.... Put it back in and still have the partial throttle shift issue:confused: only difference is she will lay down 25 feet of rubber shifting at 7300 into second gear at 55MPH:D Full throttle she shifts perfect, no matter what I change the tune to I cant get read of the slight chug between 3rd and 4th lockup.
 
Ya, that was the first 4r70w I ever rebuilt lol. Glad to hear its still running so good. I forgot to mention but I may have when I sold you the car, it had a 99+ F150 valve body in it. You wouldnt believe how many times I dropped that pan trying to figure out wtf was up with that shift issue... That trans even had a j-mod when I had it, but when I swapped in the new valve body, the plate went with it. The j-mod didn't even effect how that thing shifted.
 
What is a jmod and 450 hp done with a cold air intake, 255gph fuel pump, 150 hp shot of nitruos, adj fuel pressure regulator,411 gears, sniper program,3inch pipes, removed 3 cats, x pipe, 900 mass air, 46 psi injectors. But I am not good with automatics so were do I get a good tranny and how much. Thanks again.
 
lol, not much to say here but lol, 46 mm maf, wow, that is such a huge power adder, our comes stock with what 80mm mafs, and i always thought larger mafs with more cfm, i have to rethink everything now

wtf, editing your post, i wish i had 30 posts and could bs about my car, then change it to sound more normal.

Here is a list of mods on my car...

55psi injectors
3.5" x pipe borla exhaust
Cobra headers
4.22 gears
I can't even make :q:q:q:q like that up, it is so hard..... for someone who claims 450 and doesn't know :q:q:q:q and thinks that an adjustable fpr is a big mod to put on a list, your an idiot.....really an idiot

Hey Danny speaking of which thank you for posting in a previous valve cover thread to use brute force....worked out well for me ;)

lol, brute force and when that don't work use a pry bar, don't worry about marring any metal, that rubber gasket thingy will fill any gap.... J/K
 
Thanks for your help and you still have not answered my ?. You asked how I made that horsepower and I listed my upgrades to my best ability. You wonder why I never come back here its because you guys are #@$#%^%$
 
So danny, did this guy piss in your cheerios in the past or what?

450 estimated crank HP for a car that starts with 290 and has a 150 shot isn't exactly unbelievable. Especially when a 150 shot usually means 150rwhp.
