Its time to paint the 97. I have narrowed it down to 2 colors.

1. Keep it black. You cant go wrong with a black mark.

2. Thinking a little outside the box. Arrival Blue Metallic. Yes its a GM color, but I love it, and think it would look great with the lines of a Mark viii. Plus I like to be different. I would be that guy with the bklue mark.

So give me your opinions.

Would anyone be willing to photoshop my car in that color? I can send you a pic if your willing to.

I always thought a forest green metallic would look really nice. But that blue is looking damn good!.. Just make sure its a really good job. You dont want to open the door and have like a red door jam and blue exterior. lol..

Ill be curious to see how it turns out

dig the color but not on a mark. i'd go w/ a dark toreador red thats on the muaraders or a cordovan that r on the c/e marks.. that mild of a blue just doesnt do it for me. to each there own.

Interior is grey and black, exterior is currently black.

Not sure I would mess with doing the door jams and stuff, it would look ok if they were still black. I've seen cars that were silver with black jams and black under the hood and I kinda liked it.

Only do it blue if you do it right... but otherwise that blue looks GREAT!

GM has some stellar colors in their lineup...

IMHO, That color blue looks great on that truck. but i dont think it would look right on a Mark..... Now, a Deep Midnight Blue metallic would be killer. My 70 AMX was that color and i loved it. with your black interior color, that would be super sharp.

IMHO, I think that blue is a great color, but not on a mark. If you want blue,do deep navy blue(K4) and it looks best in LSC form. And You'd still be the "Guy with the blue mark" (At least here) (as far as I know)

do it in that chevy blue, it rocks... you have to do the door and trunk jams tho.

chad, the blue is killer, this is factory dodge viper blue, i painted this katana with it, looks similar to that blue, i want to paint a car or truck this color sometime. i love this, go blue....

that blue would make the Mark look like a low rider...or a Vato pimpin' in his Mark

if blue go darker...but I would stick to black

how would a mark VIII painted solid blue resemble a lowrider? they painted them blue from the factory and i havent seen one look like a lowrider yet! except martin's.

Mine? Lol. Mines a high rider these days - high on jack stands! :p

I vote stay black and if you can't stay black, go blue, but make everything blue - leaving the engine bay, door jams etc. black would look crap IMO - like somebody couldn't be assed to do it right.

Wow... thats a great color but I have to agree with the rest of the crowd... not on a Mark!

Black black and more black!

How much you charging Jamie?

Keep in mind I will help out with labor so you will need to take off like 2%. Maybe 3%. Half of my labor is 12 oz. curls, thats why you dont need to take off too much.

I think that would be awesome! Google says its only 2400 miles. I could do that in a coupole days, maybe 3.

So far its 8 to 7, blue is winning. How can I make this a vote post? Or I can just keep on counting everytime someone posts their opinion. Money isnt an option, not very often I get to say that, but its not. So if I go blue the jams and everything is going blue.

It`s your car so do what will make you happy. A complete color change involves a lot of labor, especially the engine bay. I was lucky going from Indigo Blue to Black on my truck, pulled the front clip and stripped the firewall down while leaving the engine in. Not really an option on a Mark.

Chadly,

My first comment is that it is your car and you should paint it whatever color you like. (Even yellow if that floats your boat)

Since you asked for opinions, here's mine:

first choice; Black
second choice; BLACK!
taking into consideration that your interior is black and your car is black already and no other color screams MARK VIII like it, my third choice for color is:

BBBBLLLLAAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps,
Bill

P.S.
Maybe Black with all those tiny little multi-colored metal flakes in it.
